Angel De Quinta's STAGE DOOR Blog: favorite Broadway excerpts

The Broadway excerpts I enjoyed the most were the Tony performance that included Jennifer Holliday, Patti LuPone, and Betty Buckley, Bae Arthur "Fifty Percent",  and "Sit Down You're Rocking The Boat" performed by Guys & Dolls. Each video contained a fun energy as well as amazing talent.

The Tony performance that included Jennifer Holliday, Patti LuPone, and Betty Buckley was a perfect mixture of talent, emotion, and attitude. I enjoyed the switching of singers and the emotion each artist had. It was fun to experience such talent on one state.

Bae Arthur had a lot of personality while singing the song fifty percent which made her overall performance stand out. She took the lyrics personally and projected that through the audience as well as her facial expressions. I would not have liked the song as much as I did if it wasn't for the performance Bae Arthur gave the audience.

The Guys & Dolls performance had an exciting set and cool costumes. The ensemble was very active throughout the performance which made it fun to view. The song was telling more of a story than the other performances. The dancing was great I believe this was my favorite video that I viewed.

In conclusion, the performances that I favored consisted of personality, excitement, and some kind of story. Each piece did an amazing job with interpreting emotion and a story.
